One of my friends, just bought a new iMac, put power on, you will ready to play after answering some simple questions. But he get problem with getting the internet connection?
iMac will automatically find out the available wireless LANs in your area, auto-asking for password if they need , show it is connecting and working. But open the Safari, saying "there is no Internet connection." Why?
My tip on this is using 'Assist me …button' and follow up all instructions, you will find out it works with connection to internet!! Here are some detail steps:
- Click on the icon of 'System Preferences'
- Click on the Icon of 'Network' from 'Internet & Wireless' section of window
- Highlight the 'AirPort', Select the Network Name of Local Wireless Network Name
- Instead of click on the 'Advance..' to setup connection info, like password…, clicking on the button of 'Assist me …'
